its an old house and i had like 6 other wires coming out from there.
I tried to change a fixture in my house,but when i change it the switch stoped working %26amp; other light also stop?
you may have crossed the wires. if the house is that old, you may want to contact an electrician

look at the fuse box/breakers for a blown fuse or triped breaker
