Make sure the bulbs are still good. Check the voltage at the switch with a volt meter. If no power go back to your breaker and check the voltage leaving the breaker. If no voltage then you may have a bad breaker. You may have also burnt up the switch itself. Check voltage incoming and outgoing of the switch.

Check for a loose connection in the switch box you were messing around in. Maybe when you tripped it a wire was damaged or a wire nut is loose.
Edit: Rusty the double breaker he is referring to is most likely a split breaker so there are more circuits available.
You obviously fried a connection somewhere. The breaker should have been off before you started working on the switch. Turn off the main power breaker that cuts power to the whole house. Now check the connection at the breaker that you accidentally tripped. Double check your work with the switches you were working on. You might want to replace them again as well since you have the power already off and what you did before is now questionable.
Sounds like you fried the inside of the switch. The power should not be coming from a double breaker. That would give you 220V at the switches which may be what happened. Somehow there may be two feeds into one box, which is wrong.
Sounds like your switch is fried. Same thing happened to a dimmer switch I was putting in. My dad cut the wires between the switch and light, while the switch was hot, and fried the switch.
