EPC light on my 04 Volkswagen bug came on changed brake light switch still on /no brake lights help?

The EPC light is a warning for the electronic throttle valve. The brake light switch is only one input for the system. Are you sure it needed or needs a brake light switch? Did you check fuse S13 in the fuse/relay panel? Has it been checked for diagnostic trouble codes? Generic OBDII won't tell you anything. It needs to be checked using a factory or VAG capable scan-tool.
