Changed the stop light switch, but now the cruise control lights aren't working right, what can I do?

I have a 1999 Honda Accord LX 4 cylinder and my brake lights had stopped working and the gear shift locked up. After much research I figured out that it should be the stop light switch. I changed that and now the brake lights work and the gear will move, but now the cruise control on/off button is acting wierd. When I push it on, all the lights that will normally come on when just the battery is on before you start the car, come on when the car is off and the on light stays lit whether or not the button is pushed in or not. Any ideas on why this is happening?

The part I got can come with cruise control or without, but they said I had the one with, but maybe they didn't give me the right one?

Thanks for your help!
