Disconnect the light fixture in the ceiling. Observe how you have it hooked up. Identify the wires in the box, line and switch wires. The fixture needs to be connected to the white wire from the line and the black from switch leg from the switch. The black from the line is connected to the white from the switch leg. Mark that white with some black tape in the ceiling and in the switch box.

That should take care of the problem. If it still is not correct, call a qualified professional electrician. Good luck. update us if it works.
Your switch wire is the wrong one.

I would either look for a junction box in the ceiling or check the switch wire to see if it is the correct feed.

I should add that if you are not comfortable with changing the fitting you should call in an electrician.
Call an electrician before you burn your house down!! The number one cause of house fires in the US is electrical wiring!!
